Changing the plan before you go
An itinerary is a draft until you are happy with it, and you are welcome to change it as often as you like before departure. Adjusting the design costs nothing. You can add a day here, take one away there, swap a hotel, drop a sight or simply slow the pace, and we will produce a revised day-by-day plan for you to review.
This is one of the advantages of a made-to-measure trip. Nothing is locked in ahead of your decision, so the plan evolves as your thinking does.
When a change involves a cancellation
One situation needs care. If you change something that has already been booked, such as a hotel room or a timed ticket, a cancellation charge may apply. We will tell you the amount before we make the change, and we only proceed once you have agreed. Nothing is deducted first and explained afterwards.

Making a change
Changes are best sent to the consultant who built the trip, with a short note of what you would like different: a day added, a hotel swapped, a sight dropped, a slower morning. Because the whole itinerary rests with one person, the revision is made against the current plan rather than a version someone has to piece back together.
You then receive an updated day-by-day itinerary to review, with any affected bookings marked, so the effect of the change is visible before you agree to it. Nothing is booked or cancelled on your behalf until the revised plan has your approval.
Changing things on the road
Once the trip has begun, you can still adjust within reason, as long as time and road conditions allow. New tickets and extra driving are charged at cost. Your guide looks at the day's driving and opening times, checks with your consultant, and confirms whether the change works before anything is booked.

Make changes through the same consultant who designed the trip, so the whole picture stays in one place and you never have to describe your needs again. Someone is on hand daily from 09:00 to 21:00 Beijing time.
