One contact, start to finish
The person to contact when something goes wrong is the same consultant who helped plan your trip. That is deliberate. From your first enquiry to the end of the journey, one person follows everything on WhatsApp, so you are not passed to a call centre and you never have to explain your situation from the beginning.
Familiarity saves time in exactly the moments when time matters. If a flight is delayed or a plan has to change, the consultant already knows your itinerary, your group and your preferences, and can act on them straight away.
What is covered, and when
During the day, guidance is available every day from 09:00 to 21:00 Beijing time. Outside those hours, an emergency line covers the situations that cannot reasonably wait until morning: a delayed flight, someone feeling unwell, a document or a hotel problem.
- For urgent matters, WhatsApp +86 177 0971 7171.
- China toll-free 400-0971-400 as a second option.
- Email hello@joyotour.com or WeChat youxuantrip.
- Your guide is also with you each day of the trip.
How a problem gets solved
When something goes wrong, one message is usually enough to start putting it right. You tell your consultant what has happened on WhatsApp, and if the matter is on the ground the consultant speaks to your guide directly so the two of them can agree what to change. Because both already hold your itinerary, the plan does not have to be explained again before a decision is reached.
The fix is then confirmed back to you, and the day is rebuilt around it rather than left in your hands. If a delay means a hotel or a timed ticket has to move, that is handled by the consultant, not by you at a counter. The same consultant follows it through to the end of the journey, so nothing is passed to a desk that has never heard of your trip.
Working with your guide
Alongside the consultant, your guide travels with you through the trip, and the driver and guide are two different people. If you need to see a doctor, change the route or reschedule a day, the consultant and the guide sort it out between them, and where it matters they can keep your family informed.
Before anything goes wrong
We send you the contact details before departure, so they are already in your phone rather than buried in an email. If you would like to know who is looking after you on any given day, just ask.
