Services you can book on their own
A full tailor-made itinerary is one way to travel with us, but it is not the only one. You can book a hotel on its own, hire a car with a driver, or arrange a guide for a day or a week, without taking a complete package. Each of these is quoted separately and clearly.
This suits travellers who have already done their own planning. Perhaps the flights and the route are settled and only the accommodation needs arranging, or perhaps the only gap is transport on a stretch of high ground where self-driving is not appealing.
How it works
Single services get the same care as a full trip. A consultant follows the booking, and the vehicles and guides are the same ones we use on our own itineraries. The driver drives and the guide guides; we keep the two roles separate, because a person doing both is not doing either properly.
- Hotel booking by night, with the room type you choose.
- Car with driver, used exclusively by your group.
- Guide only, in Mandarin or Cantonese as you need.
- Any combination, quoted item by item.
On the plateau especially
High-altitude driving rewards local knowledge. A driver who knows the passes, the weather and the road conditions can turn a stressful day into an easy one, and a guide who can explain the landscape adds a great deal. That is often the single service travellers value most.
