Can I add sights on the spot?

Yes, if time and road conditions allow. Your guide and consultant will check feasibility, and any extra tickets and driving costs are charged at cost, with nothing added on top. Tell us at the start of the day where possible, so we can reorder the route to fit the new stop in.

Why adding a stop is usually possible

Adding a sight on the spot is possible whenever time and road conditions allow. Many guests only decide they want to visit somewhere once they are there, or spot a sign on the road and feel the urge, and this flexibility is exactly what a private car is for. We will not refuse you flatly just because the plan is already drawn up.

Of course whether it can be done comes back to the day's real conditions: whether there is enough driving time, whether the site is still open, and whether a real-name reservation is required. Settling those questions first and then deciding is far better than a dispute afterwards.

We have seen guests and guides fall out over a last-minute addition. In truth, if it is made clear on the spot whether a stop is possible and what it will cost, everyone is at ease. That is why we insist on quoting first and arranging afterwards.

How it works on the day

Speak to your guide directly, and the guide will weigh the day's driving time and the site's opening hours, then check with your consultant whether it can be done. The extra tickets and driving are charged at cost, and we quote first and arrange only after you agree, never the other way round.

  • Tell the guide: raise it on the spot and the guide assesses it at once.
  • Check the conditions: driving time, opening hours and whether a booking is needed.
  • Quote first, arrange after: the cost is agreed before anything happens.
  • Flexible alternatives: if timing does not allow, agree to add it later or swap in a stop en route.

What to watch out for

If the extra sight needs a real-name reservation or a ticket bought in advance, whether it works depends on what is still available. Popular sites often sell out on the day in peak season, and in that case we can only do our best, without any promise.

If time does not allow, we can agree to fold the stop into a later day or replace it with a detour that fits the route. We always quote first and arrange after you agree, charging at cost, with no sudden increase.
