Groups & private cars

Will strangers join my small group?

No. Unless you specifically ask to share with other guests to lower the per-person cost, the group is only your own party. Your vehicle never carries strangers, so the pace, the stops and the conversation stay entirely within your group from the first day to the last.

What a small group means here

The moment guests hear the word group, some worry about being merged into someone else's party. In our definition a small group is simply your own party, with the vehicle, the driver and the guide serving you alone and no one joining along the way.

This is the clearest difference between our small groups and a traditional coach tour. A big group mixes strangers together to drive down the per-person price, and the pace, the meals and the shopping stops are hard to balance. A small group hands that control back to you.

Privacy brings a second benefit: you set the rhythm. Stay a little longer where the view is good, or head back to the hotel early when the older members of the family are tired, without worrying about anyone else's clock. For families and close friends, that freedom is often worth more than a small saving on the tour fee.

How the group stays private

We will only pair you with other guests if you ask us to, in order to lower the per-person cost, and even then we explain who else is travelling and how the days will run. If privacy matters to you, we state plainly on the confirmation that the group is not shared.

  • Private vehicle: it serves only your party and never adds anyone mid-trip.
  • Private guide: commentary and pace follow your wishes.
  • No shopping stops: we never visit shops or arrange any form of forced spending.
  • Shared only on request: pairing happens only if you ask, with the details explained first.

Rooms, meals and pace

For rooms we arrange twin or family accommodation to match how your group is made up, and a single room can be specified if you prefer. Where grandparents or children are travelling, we place guests with similar routines together so no one spends the day waiting on someone else.

Meals can be tuned to your numbers and tastes without having to accommodate strangers. If anyone has a food allergy or a religious dietary need, tell us in advance and we will speak to the restaurants beforehand.

When to just ask us

If privacy is important to you, or you simply want to travel only with family and friends, say so when you enquire. We will write the no-shared and no-shopping points into your plan.
